Jazz piano lessons are tailored to suit each student’s needs. From beginners seeking to learn the fundamentals of jazz harmony to advanced players looking to acquire more sophistication and technique, lessons can gear toward a range of goals.

Before the first lesson, Mr. Cotton will meet with the student and parents to assess the student’s goals and to form a plan that meets those goals. This highly individualized plan empowers the student to progress towards his or her own goals at a comfortable pace.

Students and teachers meet weekly. Two to three times per semester, each student will have the opportunity to present their work in a recital for students and parents.
