NYPA’s annual all-students’ closing event will feature two well balanced recitals and a total of 30 students - ranging from ages 4 to 75.
The two programs will be widely diverse - starting from beginners’ gems and ending with some of the most formidable virtuoso piano works ever written - including Beethoven’s “Pathetique” and “Waldstein” Sonatas, Schumann’s 3rd Sonata and “Symphonic Etudes”, Chopin’s Etudes & Scherzos, and a myriad of virtuoso Etudes by Liszt, Scriabin and Rachmaninoff.
In addition there will be special features of jazz saxophone standards by Bryce Yedidia, and newly composed theatre songs for voice & piano by NYPA’s former student and faculty member - Nate Festinger.
Grand receptions will follow each of the recitals. Free admission.
